摘要：Enriched environment can improve the welfare of pigs, but there were few researches about the influences of straw enriched farrowing environment on the physiology of suckling piglets. In this study, a straw-bedded farrowing pen was developed, and physiological state, productivity, disease, damage, and death of piglets has been measured to investigate the effect of the pen on welfare of piglet. 16 litters (born from 2009.5.7 to 2009.5.11) were used in this experiment (8 litters in farrowing crates and 8 litters in straw-bedded farrowing pen). Results showed that, in W1, compared to piglets in strawbedded pen, the rate of leg-injured and diarrhea of piglets in farrowing crate was significantly higher (p=0.05; p0.05), weight (W5) of piglets in farrowing crate was significantly higher (p
