摘要：《觉醒》是美国女作家凯特·肖邦的代表作,女主人公艾德娜不满足于无聊乏味的家庭生活,希望摆脱社会强加在妇女身上的种种枷锁,从最初的压抑和困惑走向最终的觉醒和反抗。艾德娜的觉醒过程经历了性意识觉醒、爱情观觉醒、人生观觉醒和彻底觉醒四个阶段,艾德娜痛苦的心路历程和觉醒过程,是女性意识形成和发展的完整体现。
The Awakening is a masterpiece of Kate Chopin. In this novel; the female protagonist Edna is not satisfied with her insipid family life, and she wants to get rid of various chains on women. After the original depression and confusion, she reaches the awakening and the resistance. The awakening process experiences four stages, and Edna finally chooses death to find the complete physical and mental liberation. The process is an integrated embodiment of the development of feminist consciousness.
