摘要：介绍个人图书馆员在美国的发展概况,认为个人馆员是一种新型的读者服务方式。个人图书馆通过个人图书馆员与读者建立联系,定期或不定期为读者服务,更新了图书馆的服务理念,拓展了图书馆读者服务模式。这种全新的服务方式能够实现参考咨询服务模式、学科服务模式和新生入学培训模式的创新。
The paper introduces general situation of development of personal librarian in the United Sates of America,and thinks that personal librarian is a new reader service manner.Personal library’s building contact with user through personal librarian and providing service for reader periodically or aperiodically,updates the idea of library service and extends library service mode.This new service mode can innovate reference service mode,subject service mode and entrance training mode for freshman.
