摘要：《珍妮姑娘》是二十世纪美国最杰出的现实主义作家西奥多.德莱塞的代表作,曾被评论家誉为美国最优秀的小说之一。文章以弗洛伊德精神分析理论为视角,通过对小说中男主人公布兰德和莱斯特的人格结构、自我防御机制的分析解读,阐述主人公的悲剧并非完全是外界环境所致,其根本原因是他们的个人选择。
Jennie Gerhardt is the celebrated work of Theodore Dreiser, one of the most distinguished American novelists in the twentieth century. It is one of the most outstanding novels in America. From the perspective of Freudian psychoanalysis, to analyze the protagonists＇ personality structure and self-defense mechanism, the writer finds it is not the outer environment but the choice of the protagonists that leads to their terrible life.
