摘要：分析了西班牙斗牛运动产生的历史、文化原因,讨论了斗牛文化与西班牙经济的关系以及斗牛运动的去留问题。认为斗牛运动经久不衰的原因不仅在于其需要高超的技艺,而且在于它代表了西班牙民族精神和民族文化。斗牛运动与西班牙的诸多经济行业紧密相关,虽然它遭到动物保护主义者的激烈反对,但其去留问题仍难预见。
The bullfighting, which has a long history of more than two thousand years, can be traced back to the bullfight shows in Knossos Palace of ancient Greece. It is considered as a symbol of braveness and a noble form of art, which once brought endless enjoyment and happiness to noblemen. Termed as the quintessence of Spanish, today ’s bullfighting is deeply ingrained in its culture. Nowadays this game meets unprecedented challenges and its survival is bogged down in endless debates.
