摘要：巴金是我国现代文学史上重要的作家之一,解放前他以大量的长、中、短篇小说描绘了旧社会不合理的黑暗现实,从而激起了人们对旧社会的憎恨和抗议。文艺界曾对他的作品进行过一番比较激烈的讨论。通过讨论,对巴金的代表作《激流三部曲》中觉新这个人物形象有争论,争论的焦点是:觉新是真实的吗?作者对他的评价正确吗?因此,就有必要进一步阐明觉新的主要特征、形成他性格的原因以及这一性格塑造的意义等等问题。
Ba Jin is one of the most prestigious writers in Chinese history of modern literature. Before liberation, he produced numerous novels, novellas and short stories which described the dark ages of preliberation, inspiring the hostility. There were once heated discussions over Ba Jin's works. But some arguments happened to Juexin, a character of his representative works 'Ji liu san bu qu'. They went on like those: was JueXin true? Was the writers remark upon him right? In this case, it is necessary to give a further clarification to the mainfeatures of JueXin, the causes of his personality ,the significance of the formation of this personality and so on.
