摘要：Language is not only part of culture but a carrier of culture. Thus,as one of the members of language group,idiom is strongly culturally characterized. So while translating idioms between English and Chinese,translators should be aware of the cultural connotations within them and employ an appropriate method to convey the counterparts to readers.
