摘要：菲茨杰拉德是美国"爵士时代"的引领者,其代表作《了不起的盖茨比》在美国文学史上可谓独树一帜,他在多部作品中展露的叙事方式得到了诸多学者的追捧和关注。从叙事方式的结构性来看,菲茨杰拉德在其作品中嵌入了多元化叙事结构,运用了外围—结构式,平行—结构式,全元—结构式三种叙事方式。小说中三种叙事方式叠加使用,揭示了人物活动的内心世界,升华了小说主题寓意。
Fitzgerald is the leader of the Jazz Age in the United States, as his representative work, The Great Gatsby has become a famous school through American literature. Fitzgerald＇ s works are embedded three narrative modes： the periphery structure type, the parallel structure and the full structure type. In his novels, the three narrative modes are used to reveal the characters＇ inner world and to improve the implication of the novel theme.
