摘要：As the American humorist and novel writer of the late 19th century, Mark Twain displays the realistic style to the subtlety. The satire and humor of the works reveal the social reality at that time and show the real social environment. The humorous language in his novels has been praised by readers and the profound connotation which is demonstrated in his works has also been sought after. This paper analyzes the language style in the novel and the spiritual connotation of his articles. Mark Twain is one of the best writers in the history of American literature, he is also the famous orator in the 19th century and the founder of criticizing the realism literature. With the unique humorous expression, he reveals the present situation of the society at that time and criticizing the government and the life in his works.
