摘要:昆虫的性别决定机制存在复杂多样性。家蚕性别决定主要受W染色体控制。遗传学研究表明,家蚕雌性化基因位于W染色体中部区域,编码含有锌指结构域的蛋白质。与果蝇不同,家蚕中不存在Z连锁基因的剂量补偿机制。此外,家蚕doublesex同源基因的性别特异性剪切机制也与果蝇显著不同。
In insects, the sex-determining system is highly diversified. In the silkworm Bombyx mori, the sex is strongly controlled by the presence of the W chromosome. Genetic studies suggested that feminizing genes were located in the middle of the W chromosome, which encoded zinc-finger motif-containing proteins. In contrast to Drosophila, dosage compensation of Z-linked genes has not been observed in Bombyx. In addition, the sex-specific splicing of the doablesex gene in Bombyx was very different from that in Drosophila.
