摘要：周公踏勘洛邑所采用的方法是"龟卜"或"耆卜"之类的占卜法,并未实施《周礼》所载的以土圭测日影以求地中,"日中测影以求地中"实为后人附会之说。自周公营建后,洛邑地区常被后世称为"天下之中",该词首见于《吕氏春秋》,是指诸帝升降于天地之间、沟通天地的处所,与文献中常见的"天地之中"具有不同的内涵,仅指"天地之中"的"地中",即"天中"在地面的映射。西周时期,洛邑地区作为"天下之中"则常被表述为"土中"或"地中",具有很强的政治性,并非一个纯粹的自然地理学概念,而是政治地理性概指概念。
It was the tortoise shell divination that had been used by Zhou-gong to find the center of earth,and it was a wrong conclusion by false analogy that Zhou-gong had used Gui-Biao to find the center of earth which recorded by Zhou Li, Luo-yi had been called the center of earth after Zhou-gong had constructed Luo-yi. The term of the center of earth first appeared in Lv Shi Chun Qiu,and it was a place which the celestial immortals go up and down between heaven and earth, and communicated heaven and earth. In the times of western Zhou dynasty,the center of earth was not just a purely concept of physical geography, but with a strong political character, and was a political and geographical notion.
