摘要：蓄意性歧义是说话者或听话者巧妙地利用语言的一些现象 ,对语句所传达信息的刻意曲解 ,以达到其主观上特定的交际目的的一种积极的话语方式。这种话语方式 ,可以产生出人意料的、幽默的、甚至是喜剧的艺术效果。在汉译时 ,要求尽量保持这种效果 ,既保留其形貌 ,又传达其神韵。我们在传统直译方法基础上 ,提出了“保留英语加注”的翻译策略 。
The intentional ambiguity is an active discourse manner in which the speaker or the listener,misunderstands intentionally what the sentence conveys in order to achieve his or her particular communicative purpose subjectively.This discourse manner can produce unexpected,humorous,and even comic artistic effects.In translating from English to Chinese,the effects should be kept by every means,in both the form and charm.On the basis of the traditional method literal translation,we propose the translation strategy “keeping English word(s) and noting”,to expect to perfect the translation from English to Chinese.
