摘要:Numerical simulation was applied to study the inclusion behavior in the rotational flow tundish for the industrial production of steel. Results showed that the rotational flow prolonged the trajectory of inclusion movement and thus promoted the inclusion removal. Meanwhile the large turbulent fluctuation caused by rotational flow greatly promoted the removal of smaller inclusions which were hard to be removed generally. However high rotation speed was not recommended since it led to the short flotation time for inclusions and meantime reduced the removal rate of larger inclusions by turbulence disturbance.
